Hello all,

i want to design a simple ECG device. Is it nessecary to protect the patient with a extern protection circuit

or does the ADS1298 has an internal protection??

Hi Sebastian,

The ADS1298 does not offer any internal 'patient protection' circuitry. You would have to develop your own protection scheme based on the end product classification of the product/design you wish to build. Sports/fitness versus clinical/medical application - each are governed by different standards, so we can't provide you with a definitive answer here.
