ADS5402 question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS5402

ADS5402 is dual channel 800M ADC,does per ADC is single 800MADC or it is two ADCs to get interleave output? does there is the differential time delay of A,B output ?

thanks

  • It is dual 400MSPS, 800MSPS is achieved in interleave mode

  • Actually, ADS5402 is two channels of 800Msps each.   From the front page of the datasheet:

Internal to the ADC each channel has two ADCs at 400MHz that is interleaved to provide 800Msps as shown in Figure 1 of the datasheet, so what Albert_83 said would apply to *each* channel of the device.

I do not understand what you are asking when you say  "does there is the differential time delay of A,B output ?"  Please clarify.  If you are askign if there is skew between channel A and channel B outputs, no - they are both synchronous to the output clock and both channels will have the same latency through the ADC.  From the datasheet: "Optionally Bus B can be latched with DACLKP/N."  So there is an output clock for channel A and also an output clock for channel B, but these are two copies of the same clock.
