Is it possible to capture samples from the ADS58C28 with the TSW1400?
Thanks,
Jeremy
Thanks for your answer.
I have installed "High Speed Data Converter Pro GUI Installer, v2.0 (Rev. D) (Rev. D)" and can connect to the TSW1400. I cannot find ADS58C28 in the list.
I installed :"TSW140xEVM .ini File Update List (Rev. B)" by extracting the zip in to the "1400 Details" directory. After doing this I then get "error 15 occurred at Call Library Function Node in TSW1400.lvlib:1400_Dll Version.vi -< TSW1400.lvlib: Frame.vi Possible reason(s): LabVIEW: Resource not found" every time I start the GUI application.
There doesn't even seem to be a ADS58C28.ini for the board in the 1400 details directory. I do see a file called "ADS58C28.ini" in the 1405 directory.
Hi,
The ini file for ADS58C28 looks missing from TSW1400 GUI installer. Please download attached ini and put it on "C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\1405 Details\ADC files".
Thanks,
KW
Jeremy,
The update file that is listed is an older version - it must have been linked by mistake. V2.0 is the newest version and does not need the update file. The errors you are seeing are probably the files being corrupted by the update file you dow loaded. I apologize for the mixup and will fix this asap on the product folder.
Can you re-install the HSDC Pro 2.0 to see if it fixes your labview issues? You do not need the update file for this version. You will need to copy the ini file for it to recognize the ADC. This was dropped in the last build by accident and will be included in the next build we release.
Ken
Ok, I uninstalled HSDC, and re-installed. I then downloaded the .ini file provided and put it into '\High Speed Data Converter Pro\1400 Details\ADC files' (remember I have a TSW1400). I can select ADS58C28 now, but when I try to capture, I get 'Read DDR to file TIMED_OUT ERROR' which is the same error I get when I try selecting an incorrect ADC in the list.
Thanks,
Jeremy
I start with LED C87 (assume power) then when I select ADS58C28 I program firmware and get:
FPGA_CONF_DONE
USER_LED 0/1/2/5/6/7
Hi, Jeremy
"USER_LED 3" means "CLKOUT" from ADS58C28 device. If this LED is not turned on green, that means you are not providing main clock with "J19" (CLK IN) on ADS58C28EVM. Can you please check this?
Thanks,
KW
Thanks very much, checked clock, when I fixed the source, USER_LED3 came on and I am capturing data.
