For the ADS1244 there is the potential for two different supplies, AVDD and DVDD. AVDD is the analog supply and DVDD is the digital supply. All input signals and supplies should be referenced to a common point and this is the GND pin of the ADS1244. Both of the common (AGND and DGND) for AVDD and DVDD should connect to the GND pin. This connection should be as short and as low inductance as possible. A long wire can pick up EMI/RFI noise and effect the result.
