About tSU of ADS5401 at the high temperature

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS5401

Hi all.
Although it is "Operating free-air temperature range and TA -40  85 degC" which have been indicated on the document (slas946.pdf) of "ADS5401",
Since it is written as "Operating junction temperature range TJ 150 degC", does the ambient air temperature operate,
if junction temperature is less than 150 degC at 100 degC?
For example, does the device operate in the state where junction temperature is 125 degC,
at the time of the ambient air temperature of 90 degC?
Is the value of tSU at that time changeful?

Best regards,
Hisa Kobayashi.

  • The guaranteed datasheet values for tSU (and other specified min values or max values) are over the ambient range of operation.  So if the device is specified over a range of -40 to 85C for ambient, that is the range that we spec tSU over.  We do not go past that ambient range during characterization to make the junction temp get to 150C just because that is the max junction temp allowed.   It is the recommended operating range that we use to characterize the device and it is that range over which we gaurantee the datasheet performance.
