ADC16DV160 eval. system

I am looking for an eval. system for the asad16dv160 to use in an ultrasound system where I need to sample frequencies in the range 1MHz - 50 MHz. I purchased the combo. eval. boards recommended (ADC16DV160HFEB Evaluation Board + WAVEVISION h/w + s/w)  but it looks like the chip eval. board is configured only for IF type applications & I cannot use the board for my application? True?? In which case does TI have a 'generic' eval. board for this adc?????? Which is what I was expecting!!!!!

    It is true that the ADC16DV160HFEB is configured for high-IF applications and will not work for a baseband application or for any signal in the 1st Nyquist zone. We do have design files for an EVM that can support frequencies as low as ~5MHz that I can supply if you are interested.

    I recommend getting in touch with your local TI field representative about your discontent with the eval platform (and have them contact me) so that we may find a workable solution for you.

          Thanks I was starting to look at ADI :) in spite of being a former TI'er! I am based in Springfield MA, the company I am working on for this project is also here - can you tell me who the local TI rep. would be? I know folks at the Waltham office but they are either directors in the s/w or 3rd party areas or sales folks in the Boston area.

           I was bummed out because when I was at TI I did not let my dsp or codec (voice/audio) put out eval boards that did not allow users to use our devices in any way possible. I do hope that TI is not changing its policies!! I do realize that this is a TI part by way of acquisition - but I would expect a bold bullet description point in the evm doc that lets readers know at first blush that this is a 'custom' evm.
