ADS7950 Vref for Electrical characteristics

Hello,

In the datasheet page 5 of ADS7950, Electrical characteristics is defined by "Vref = 2.5 V ± 0.1 V".

But ADS7230 is defined by "VREF = 5V"
There is not ± 0.1 V.

Why difference between these device of Vref for Electrical Characteristics ?

  • Hello,

    Sorry for bothering you.
But could you please kindly let me know the background about Vref?

I think that this Vref reasons are as below.

    -Full-scale input span of Range 2 is "2* Vref≤VA"
VA range is 2.7V to 5.25V.
     So, Vref=2.5V+0.1V

-When Vref<2.4V , noise performance is reduced due to SNR degradation resulting from lowered signal range.
      So, Vref=2.5V-0.1V

As these 2 reasons result , Electrical Characteristics is defined by Vref=2.5V±0.1V.

    Is my understanding correct ?
If no please let me know this background.

    Best Regards,
