Overclocking 1.5 Gsps ADCs at 1.6 Gsps

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC07D1520, ADC081500, ADC08D1520

Is it possible to reliably overclock the ADC07D1520 which has a 1.5 GHz maximum specified sample rate at 1.6 GHz?

Can the ADC081500 or ADC08D1520 be reliably clocked at 1.6 GHz? They have a 1.7 GHz typical/1.5 GHz worst case clock rate specification.

If screening is required, what is the recommended process (at the factory, or after purchase)?

Thanks

  • Hi Thad

We can only guarantee operation and performance of the device at the highest frequency tested, which is 1.5 GHz clock rate for the ADC07D1520, ADC08D1520 and ADC081500 devices.

If you are interested in devices with additional screening please contact your local TI distributor or sales contact.

    I hope this is helpful.

    Best regards,
