Hello,

I have the ADS62P42EVM REV E. board and I've connected TP10, TP11, TP13 (SCLK, SDATA,SEN) to an external controller that provide SPI signals according to the timing diagram in the data sheet. in addtion JP22 is connected 1-2, JP8 2-3, JP9 2-3 and JP10 2-3.

I wanted to perform a simple write to / read from register operation to test the interface.

The instructions i sent are:

0x0000 - init in write mode

0x1480 - enable override bit

0x0001 - init in read mode 

0x1400 - read test pattern

after sending these instructions i monitored JP22 to see the readout operation but i get no result. I doubled checked the SPI mode, i use to send my data and just in case tried all configs.

what am I missing here?

    Hi,

    For serial SPI configuration, JP8 (SCLK), JP9 (SDATA), JP10 (SEN) and JP11 (Serial mode) have to be set as 2-3. The serial register readout works only with CMOS interface in ADS62P42. Are you using CMOS or LVDS?
