Hi all,
Customer is evaluating ADS8341 now and find following output data collapse with the condition as described below.
Power supply
+VCC: +5VDC
Vref: +4VDC
Input voltage for CH0 - CH3: 0 to +4V
If input 5V into CH1, CH0, CH2 and CH3 AD converted data are collapsed and change to FFFH side.
What is the cause of this?
I got PIC initial answer as, When device is used out of datasheet defined conditions, TI cannot comment at all.
Assumed that inter-channel crosstalk is induced by over voltage condition.
Please limit input voltage below 4V by adding the external clamp.
We forward PIC initial answer to customer but customer still want to know the assumed reason why crosstalk happens.
If system block like information for this explanation is available, it is very helpful for understanding.
