offset of ADS62P42IRGCT

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS62P42

the circuite is almost the same as the reference in the datasheet of ADS62P42IRGCT. it is shown below

when i test the idle noise of the circuite(call it be called "offset"? ).the first channel is about 15,while second is about 100.for the consistency of the two channels, i changed the value of  the resistors in the circuite above, while keep the sum of them constant .But the idle noise did not change or only a little ,is still about 95. Can you give me some advices?

  • Hi Hongping,

The ADS62P42 datasheet lists the min and max offset error as +/- 10 mV. This is a 14-bit part with a 2-Vpp input voltage. The step size is about 122 uV, so the min and max offset error should be +/- 82 LSBs. So it sounds like you are outside of the spec'd range.

First, are you resetting the part on power up? There is an offset correction register, so we need to make sure to reset the part to set the correction to 0.

Secondly, what is the value of the resistor in series with the INP/M pins?
