ADS8412 timing characteristics question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS8412

In ADS8412 timing characteristics, we can only find the maximal value for th4, do we need to care about its min value as well?  Any comments on this? Thanks in advance.

  • Robert,

th4 is the amount of hold time after CONVST is brought low that the data from the previous conversion is valid and can be read. The max time that you can read previous valid data after CONVST is listed as MIN(tCONV). After this time, their is a brief period where the current conversion results are being updated on the databus (the 'invalid' periods in Figures 1-4).

Up until the MIN(tCONV) you will be able to read out valid data from the previous conversion. There is no need for a min th4 value.
