One question about TI's DS90C387R and display controller interface

The display controller I used has 24 bit output R[7:0] , G[7:0], B[7:0]. In the old board, DS90C387 is connected to the display controller. As they both have 24 bit interfaces, there is no problem. Well, on the new board, DS90C387R is used. DS90C387R has 12 bit input, and there is two data per clock for 24bit RGB. I don't know how to connect DS90C387R to the display controller and how the 24 bit RGB data transfers to DS90C387R.

You need to configure your source to output video data in DDR mode if possible.

If your source cannot output in 12 bit DDR mode then you need to use the DS90C387 in SDR mode (24 bit mode) instead of DDR mode (12 bit mode)

I didn't find any configuration for the source. Could you give me some ideas about how to configure the parallel 24 bit RGB output (R[7:0], B[7:0], C[7:0]) in DDR mode?

I mean, the processor/chip that is providing the video data to the DS90. I didn't see that you specified what device/processor is connected to the DS90 and is providing the video data.

Just to clarify...

What is providing the video to the DS90?

If the source processor cannot support DDR mode then you must use the DS90 in SDR mode, but the pixel rate is limited to 170MHz in this mode.

"Two other modes are also supported. 24-bit color data (single pixel) can be clocked into the transmitter at a maximum rate of 170MHz."
