Hello, all

We have one inquiry regarding shutdown mode on ADC081S021.

Please refer to the item below, and feedback us with your comment.

When referring page 15 of this datasheet, this operation is described as "The device will enter shutdown mode if CS is pulled high before the tenth falling edge of SCLK after CS is pulled low,".

However, on our system, SCLK is stopped when pulling CS into low, since this process is handled by single task on processor side.

I also enclose the waveform on this transition as below;

Please let us clarify whether ADC081S021 could enter shutdown mode properly on above situation.

    Hello there,

    The SPI bus transaction you have shown in your posting will result in the ADC081S021 entering the SHUT-DOWN.

    In your example the CS goes High after only 2nd falling edge of SCLK. Once the CS is High, it does not matter what SCLK does, and device remnains in SHUT-DOWN.
