Using ADS1248 or LMP90080 for 2-wire PT-1000 RTD - suggestions?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMP90079, ADS1248, LMP90080

Dear All,

I have extensively used the LMP90079 with "K" type TC with splendid results. Now I have to setup a new project but I must use 2-wire PT-1000 RTD. The system needs 6x of such PT-1000 (2-wire). (There is also one PTC for a motor overheat sensor which must be read).

I was checking to use the LMP90080 for the PT-1000 but I feel I can't connect all the RTD's I need to connect, since LMP90080 has external pins for the excitation current, while the ADS1248 has internal source which can be connected by internal mux.

The ADS1248 seems then better but I have never used and no experience of connection like the LMP90079/80.

If anybody has worked out some experience for connecting 2-wire RTD's (PT1000) to either LMP90080 or ADS1248, all suggestions are welcome.

If anybody needs help for the usage of LMP90079 with "K" type TC as info exchange, I will be happy to provide!

My best regards
