AFE5801 - LSB or MSB first mode

Hallo!

In the AFE5801 datasheet on page 9 (Timing Diagram) it is mentioned that there is a LSB first and a MSB first mode. But there is no register that would allow to configure this in the datasheet.

In the revision changes from C to D it is written that the register description for this got deleted. Does anybody know why?

I search on the internet for the old Rev.C datasheet but did not find one, so I cannot lookup on the old Rev. Does someone have a backup of this Rev.?

Hi,

The AFE5801 does not support MSB_FIRST operation. This is why this field was deleted from the register map going from Rev C to REV D of the datasheet. Figure 1 of the datasheet needs to be updated to be consistent with this as it presently shows both LSB and MSB first modes. We will correct this on the next update of our documentation.
