TI & Altera EVM compatibility

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HSMC-ADC-BRIDGE, ADS42LB49EVM, ADS42LB49

I'm looking at building a prototype using a TI high speed ADC (ADS42LB49 is the candidate), and an Altera Cyclone V SoC.  Looking at the ADS42LB49EVM page, it indicates compatibility with Altera EVMs using the "appropriate interposer card".  The Altera Cyclone V SoC EVM (http://www.altera.com/products/devkits/altera/kit-cyclone-v-soc.html) has an HSMC connector on it.  The closest thing I can find to an appropriate adapter card is the HSMC-ADC-BRIDGE part (http://www.ti.com/tool/hsmc-adc-bridge).

Before I go too far down this path, I wanted to see whether this is the appropriate adapter for this task.

  • Alexander,

This is the only possible solution we offer. You would need to verify the schematics of all three boards before persuing this. If you need any of the TI board schematics, let me know and we can provide these.
