I have a customer who would like to use the VBAT1 and VBAT2 on the TSC2003 to measure up to 32Vdc. Since there are built-in resistor voltage dividers on each input, could he simply just put a 47.5k ohm resistor between the sensing pin and the voltage he wants to sense and be safe? The datasheet states that the max voltage on either VBAT pin should be less than 6V, but with the voltage dividing resistors activated, the voltage at those pins should be approximately 5.56V. Thanks for your help.

Also in a prototype design, the TSC2003 doesn't begin logging data until the screen is touched for the first time. Is there a way to begin loggin data immediately upon power up? Thanks!

Hi Jarrett,

Are you talking about the evaluation software for TSC2003EVM? That software is quite fixed and as I as I know, it is not able to start logging upon powered up.

Hi Jarrett,

It is OK to do that. Actually, the test fixture we built to test TSC2003EVM is doing exactly the same thing. The battery in the schematic below is 9V, so the voltage at VBAT1 is 5.57V and at VBAT2 is 4.49V.
