Hi,

Can ADS62P25 get a single-ended input directly without balun or transformer?

Customer wants to design their application without balun or transformer but input is single-ended.

Is there a solution for above requirement?

    Hi David,

    No, the ADS62P25 is not designed for single-ended inputs. Performance will be severely degraded. They can certainly make use of a fully differential amplifier for this purpose and they likely already would have one in the path for level shifting to the ADC's common mode voltage.. The LMH3401 is extremely small (2.5x2.5 mm) and can provide the level shifting, gain, and single-ended to differential conversion. Other options are LMH6554 or the THS450x family.
