I read the datasheet and it is not clear for me how to get the 4 channels conversions. How many cycles are necessary to get the four conversions? I want all 4 channels working all the time, is it necessary to configure something or it does that by default?

    Hello Gumaro,

    ADS8331 is device with 1 internal ADC which can be interfaced to 4 input channel through an analog multiplexer.

    If you want to read all 4 channel sequentially you can use the "Auto Channel Select Mode" as explained in Figure 39. You need to have 4 data read cycles to read the 4 channel data.

    If your data read is not sequential, you can use the manual trigger mode. Again you will need 4 read cycles to read 4 channel.

    You need to program respective CFR to enable the mode.

    Also, in any of the above modes the input on all 4 channel will not be sampled at the same instance. Do let us know if you need to sample all 4 channel simultaneously.
