I'm using ADC34j42evm and TSW14j56evm. It says max 50 Msps can be taken from the ADC34j42 but i have done an experiment with 160 Msps and it is done succesfully. What is the reason of that?

Hi Arsen,
The device comes from a family of devices ADC34J4x with various devices in speed grades. The devices that are in the 50Msps max family are tested at 50Msps and provide guarantees on performance up to that speed. The slower rated devices may work faster and it may work ok at faster frequencies, however they are not tested at the frequencies and we do not provide any guarantees if performance degrades while operating over the rated limit.
Ken.
Hi Ken C
Thank you for fast reply, we need further information about the clock configuration of the ADC34J42EVM. In order to configure sampling frequency of this evaluation board, we have downloaded and used ADC3000 GUI. There are 3 types of configuration files in the zipped set-up file which are 80MSaps, 128MSaps and 160MSaps sampling frequency options. However we have ADC34J42EVM that operates at 50MSaps. Can we get such configuration file from anywhere or could you send it to us?
Another necessity of our project is changing sampling rate at which are not listed above such as 42 MSaps. How can we do that simply with ADC3000 GUI. Is there any datasheet for these types of arrangements?
Arsen
Arsen,
Apologies for the delay - I just realized that there wasn't a response to your question.
Please post a request on the LMK04828 forum to get support for the LMK device. Some changes will be needed to configure the PLL to get the appropriate clocks for your needs.
If you have an external clock source, you can try to use the attached extern clock configuration. You can load this in via the ADC3000 GUI and then input a 2x ADC clock into the J10 input SMA.
