Question for TIPD188 reference design

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-EXP430F5529LP, ADCPRO, TIPD188

Hi Ti team,

After the study for this ref design, I wonder the MSP-EXP430F5529LP launchpad kit with the firmware in the ref design is able to communicate with PC. What program in PC side can talk with this MSP board, Ti's ADCPro, or ...?

I assume both the hardware and firmware are verified for this reference design?

Thanks,

Ming

  • Hi Ming,

The MSP-EXP430F5529LP in the TIPD188 reference design communicated with a PC using a USB CDC (virtual serial port).

Any terminal program can be used to communicate over the virtual serial port. Older versions of windows had "hyper terminal" included with the OS, but there are many open source terminal programs available online.

    Best Regards,
    Chris
