Hi Pablo,
After downloading the software (snoc021.zip) unzip the file and install the software. If you use the default installation location the file will be in the
C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\DAC161S055\Firmware
directory. It will be called: dac12xSxxx_fw-v0.87.txt

Dear Pablo;
If I remember correctly, there was an error made with regard to a file name in the TI *.pdf literature and the correct file name that you see when you download the TI program. I made two posts about deboxing the DAC161S055EVM. I will try to provide you with a link to these discussions when I locate that link.
I had a lot of problems with this kit.
I have found the start up kit programs to be difficult to work with.
Tell me if you detect a lot of current going to the ground pin of your oscilloscope (arcing).
If you do not own an oscilloscope, the probability that you will get this kit working in a time efficient manner is very, very, poor. Better documentation - standalone working programs - are needed. When I use the term "standalone" program, I mean a program that does not require to be interfaced to a GUI or any other interface - a simple program that downloads directly from the CCS IDE to the Launchpad and as a result the booster pack works - no other program necessary.
