Hi,

I am using ADC08D500 as Analog to Digital Converter. I would like to generate test pattern to test the digital interface between ADC(ADC08D500) and FPGA. I am not sure how to generate test pattern in ADC through its SPI interface. The following datasheet is providing information on registers but it is not clear for me:

The ADC08D500 device does not include an output data test pattern. There is a pin compatible device which does have that feature, the ADC08D1020.

It is possible to design a board that can accommodate both devices, please see this document for more details on how to do this:

Page 40 of the ADC08D1020 datasheet describes the pattern that is output. The pattern is enabled by setting bit 15 of the Extended Configuration Register (Address 9h).
