The adapter would GND the following pairs on the HSMC connector that feed the Altera board:

Input_0, Input_1, Input_2, Input_12, Input_13, Input_14 and Input_15. You will have to verify if this will cause any problems on the Altera board as I do not have the schematic for it. The adapter board schematic is attached for your reference.
