Minimum sampling frequency of DAC3151

We are planing to use DAC3151, our application requires to vary the sampling frequency from 5MSPS to 160MSPS. can we use DAC3151 at lower sampling

frequency also?. The datasheet does not mention a minimal sampling rate, is there any practical limitation to work at such low sampling rate?

please suggest

Hi,

I had once before asked our design manager if there was any minimum sampling rate, and was told that there is no PLL or any other circuit that would prevent operation at low sample rates. So there is no minimum sample rate. But we also checked with the characterization engineer and the device was not characterized at very low sample rate, but there is no reason why it would be a problem.

Thanks for the confirmatiom.

And, Should we go with Active RLC or passive LC discrete reconstruction filter toplogy for these frequency of operation( Fs= 5MHz to 160MHz), filter cut-off frequency tuning not required, it would be fixed cut-off frequency between 3.75MHz to 120MHz(first image).
