ADS7044EVM-PDK: Experiencing Extremely Long Load Times in ADS704X EVM GUI

Part Number: ADS7044EVM-PDK

Hello,

I recently purchased an ADS7044-EVM-PDK Module as well as an ADS7042-EVM-PDK. I was finally able to get around the unsigned driver issue in Windows 10 and everything was working very well. However, one of our Teaching Assistants overwrote the SD cards while working through some new experiments. We replaced the files with ones in the installed software folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\ADS704X EVM GUI\SDCard Files), and followed the instructions in the "Notes" text file. Now when the module is plugged in it is coming up as a blank device (F:\\       )  where as before it came up as F:\\ ADS7044 EVM PDK and was recognized as such in the device manager (now shows up as a USB Bulk Data Device).

I'm not sure if this related to my problem but wanted to give some background. Anyways now when we launch ADS GUI it still recognizes it as ADS7044 or ADS7042 but shows a "busy wheel" for ~5-10 minutes before we can interact with the software. Also to make this even better sometimes it goes right away when we launch the GUI. The issue appears to be happening at random whether I'm logged in as a standard user or administrator. I'm hoping this is related to not having the "Factory Firmware" installed on the SD cards as mentioned in the ADS704X User Guide. If possible could someone provide the factory SD files for the 7044 and 7042 EVM's?

Best Regards,

Matt
