AMC1304L05: Single-Chip to convert the Bitstreams out of AMC1304L05

Part Number: AMC1304L05
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1210, , SN65LVDS179

I´m in search of a single-chip simple as the AMC1210 to convert the bitreams out of AMC1304L05. the Problem is, that it seems to me that the AMC1210 only can communicate with a AMC1305 based on CMOS. But I want to use the LVDS one. Is this a missunderstanding or is there a way to conncet the AMC1304L05 to the AMC1210?
Or is there for LVDS connections a other chip to use in your portfolio?

Kind regards,

Basti

  • Hi Basti,

Unfortunately there is no stand alone chip that can take the bitstream from the AMC1304L05.  You would also need a differential driver to provide the modulator clock to the AMC1304L05.  One possibility is to use a chip like the SN65LVDS179 which has an LVDS driver and reciever in an 8-pin package.  You could use that chip in conjunction with the AMC1210 or one of the TMS320F2837x family of devices.
