ADS7816: Internal equivalent circuit of the ADS7816

Dear Sirs,

My customer asked us internal equivalent circuit of the ADS7816.

There is a symptom that Vcc changes from 5 V to 3.1 V in the ADS7816.
So please tell me the internal equivalent circuit of the ADS7816 pin that may cause this symptom.

Hello,

We do not have an equivalent circuit available.

Most SAR ADCs have an input circuit similar to what is shown in Figure 37 of the ADC088S052 datasheet. The ADS7816 datasheet mentions on page 8 that the input capacitor is 25pF.

Hello Mike-san,

My customer asked us additional question.

When Vcc of ADS7816 is in operation, it becomes 5v ⇒ 3.1V.
Is there a possibility of falling to 3.1V?
In that case, what is the condition?

Hello,

The device is specified to work with a Vcc between 4.5V and 5.25V. It most likely will not work if the Vcc is at 3.1V.
