AMC1305M25: Electrical Characteristics

Part Number: AMC1305M25

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask AMC1305M25?

<Question1>
Our customer uses AMC1305M25 with CLKIN = 10MHz.
On the datasheet P9, it shows Electrical Characteristics in case of CLKIN = 20MHz.
Do you have Electrical Characteristics with CLKIN = 10MHz?(If you have some reference data, could you give us?)
Especially our customer needs following contents.
-IDVDD Controller-side supply current
-PDVDD Controller-side power dissipation
-θjc

<Question2>
On the datasheet P6,  it shows fCLKIN Input clock frequency=5MHz(min),  205MHz(typ) and 20.15MHz(max) at Electrical Characteristics.
In case of fCLKIN Input clock frequency=10MHz, is there any influence for Electrical Characteristics?(is there some difference in case of 10MHz?)

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • Hi Matsumoto-san,

    The AMC1305M25 data sheet has various curves that provide the detail you are looking for. Figure 47 on page 20 gives you the controller side current versus modulator clock frequency. Power will depend on your supply voltage. Theta jC is package dependent, so that does not change, please refer to section 7.4 on page 5.

    The electrical characteristics remain very stable over modulator clock frequency, you can see this in the graphs for offset error over clock frequency (Fig 14), gain error (Fig 17), SNR & SINAD (Fig. 21), etc.
