ADC10D020: ADC10D020 / Gain error

Part Number: ADC10D020
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC10321

Hi,

Please let me clarify the gain error spec of ADC10D020. ADC10D020 is 10 bit and so the max output code is 1023. At this point, I understand that there is possibility that the output code will vary to 880 at gain error is -14 %FS. Is my understanding correct?

I also guess that the unit of gain error may be "mV", not %FS because its unit of ADC10321 which the same architecture with ADC10D020 is "mV".

  • Hi Satoshi
The gain error will typically be -4% of the ideal value, with minimum of -14% and a maximum of +6%.
The Vref voltage is not internally generator, and can be anywhere in the range of 0.8V to 1.5V. Due to this flexibility we do not specify the unit of error in mV. It is in % of whatever full scale is expected based on the Vref voltage.
