I am checking. The EVM has that pin connected to AVDD, so that would certainly be a safe choice. It is possible that the function of the pin is something used in internal manufacture test, such as Fuse trimming supply, in which case it really doesn't matter which supply it would be tied off to. But it could also be that it is an error to include the pin in the list of grounds. That is what I am checking into - I don't know which.

Hi,

I just had the mount and bond diagram pulled up and the pin 5 is AVDD. So the diagram is correct in calling this pin AVDD but the text in the pin list is in error. And the EVM has this pin as AVDD as well. This must be fixed in the next revision of the datasheet.

Hi,

The pin diagram is correct in listing AVDD, but it is the pin description below that which needs correction to not list that pin number as being ground. But I do not know when a revision could appear on the web. There is a strict protocol of approval cycles in place to keep people like me from shooting from the hip in making changes. It has to be disciplined even when the error has become obvious. And thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have a few other datasheet revisions in queue ahead of this.
