ADS9110: Leakage Current (Analog Input pin)

Part Number: ADS9110

Hi,
Please tell me about the leakage current of the analog input pin

In the ADS9110 datasheet, the leakage current of the analog input pin is defined as ±1μA.
It is a relatively large value and is concerned about the influence on DC characteristics.

① Is there a way to solve this problem?
② Is there data such as "Leakage Current - Temperature Characteristics"?

best regards

  • Hi Cafain,

I am looking into the input pin leakage current and will get back to you soon.
  • Hi, Evan-san

    Thank you for your support.
    We are waiting for data

    best regards
  • Hi Cafain,

The leakage current for SAR ADCs is due to both the internal ESD structure as well as the input circuitry of the device so it is not something that can be changed. However, the impact of the leakage current on DC performance can be minimized while designing the input driver circuit, specifically by minimizing the value of any resistance between the output of the driver and the ADC inputs. A calibration can also be performed to minimize the impact of input offset and gain errors.

Leakage is not something that we directly characterize or measure over temperature. However like other DC parameters the leakage will change and likely get worse over temperature.

If you'd like more information we have a short training on the DC specifications of ADCs available through our training webpage. The first video titled "DC Specifications" is a great introduction.

    Hopefully this helps!
