Hi,

I'm using a TSW54J60EVM and a TSW14J56EVM to evaluate the ADS54J60 and the LMH6401. Using High-Speed Data Converter Pro v4.50 with the default firmware and configuration files, I get the following configuration parameters :

JESD IP Core_CS = 2

JESD IP Core_N = 14

JESD IP Core_Ntotal = 16

Does it mean the board is in 14-bit mode with 2 control bits?

By any chance, did you select an ADS54J40 file instead of ADS54J60 file in HSDC Pro? When I select "ADS54J60_LMF_8224" in the GUI, I get parameters reflecting a 16 bit device as shown in attached file. Yours look likes a 14 bit part was selected.

We are using the "ADS54J60_LMF_8224" configuration file in the GUI. See image below.

Patrice,

I noticed you are using an older version of HSDC Pro and the ini file may have had a problem. Try downloading the latest version (4.7) from the web and repeat this test.

Jim,

We have upgraded to 4.7 and the Board Dynamic Configuration Parameters panel shows that the eval board is now in 16-bit mode! We are investigating the changes between 4.1 and 4.7 that could explain why the board is now working into 16-bit mode.
