DAC8574: Output Current

Hello

We use DAC8574 to output 0~5V to control the air valve. VrefH=5V, VrefL=GND.

Does the current of Vout A~D all from VrefH?

If each Vout current =20mA, do we need VrefH input current=80mA?

Or we need add amplifier after Vout？

Hi Jasmine,

Welcome to E2E and thank you for your query. The current drawn from the reference inputs are defined by the input impedance of the reference circuit specified in the datasheet. The output currents are sourced by the output amplifiers inside the DAC and the power input that supplies them is VDD. You don't need any additional amplifier at the output of the DAC.

If I want to output 5.5V, could you please help to check if below setting is right or not:

VrefH =VDD=5.5V
VDDIO=5V
