ADC161S626EVM: Cant install driver MSP430_CDC_PID0x094e_ADC_DAC_EVMs.inf on windows 10

Hello,

I am using the ADC161S626EVM together with the MSP-EXP430F5529LP. When i try to install the driver for the ADC161S626EVM (as described in the users guide) i get the error message: The folder you specified doesnt contain a compatible software driver...

In another thread on E2E (http://e2e.ti.com/support/data_converters/precision_data_converters/f/73/p/408009/1910708?tisearch=e2e-quicksearch&keymatch=adc161s626evm%20driver#1910708i read that the MSP430_CDC_PID0x094e_ADC_DAC_EVMs.inf driver was only created for windows 7.

I would like to know if there is a solution for windows 10 users?

I believe the issue is related to driver signing. ADC161S626EVM windows driver is not signed and Windows 10 simply does not install an unsigned driver. Please try the work around suggested in the following posting

Hi Vishy,

thanks for your help! I finally got it to work!

On a Windows 7 PC i was able to update the firmware of my MSP430F5529LP to v0.98.

Once that was done i was able to install the driver on my Windows 10 PC following the steps in your explanation.
