ADC32RF45EVM: is that has a any issue the data convert of center frequency of nyquist zone in HSDC Pro v4.80 or TSW14J56?

Part Number: ADC32RF45EVM

Hi.

I am designed ADC32RF45EVM (PCB REV E) board and TSW14J56 (PCB REV E) Board.

Set up the H/W below

1. ADC32RF45EVM is bypass mode (14bit)

1. Fs = 2500 MHz, Fin = 1875 MHz is result below

2. Fs = 2500 MHz, Fin = 1875.1 MHz is result below

only 1875 MHz is not seem in HSDC Pro v4.80.

it is center frequency of 2st nyquist zone.

2500(Fs) / 4 * 3 = 1875 MHz

what is the problem?

is this a my mistake?

Regards,

Kim

  • Kim,

this is due to the DC corrector inside device notching the n*fs/8 frequencies, hence your signal being attenuated. If you need to sample a signal at exactly this frequency you might try modifying the sample rate so the signall frequency won't fall at  n*fs/8.
