DAC900: Minimum Fout and Fdac

Hello E2E,

What is the minimum Fout and Fdac of the DAC900?

This design is operating in the VLF/LF band, and the maximum LO is only 60kHz. The LO frequency is static for a given operating period, meaning it does not have to be rapidly changing during operation. This LO will be mixed with the signal of interest, so we obviously need the LO to be as clean as possible.

I have sent your question over to an engineer.
Can you clarify what you mean by Fout and Fdac ?
Those terms don't line up with anything on our datasheet, so I wanted to clarify.

Hi Brian,

Sorry for the confusion.

Fout - What is the frequency at which the Dac can output data. Take a look at figure 1:

Fdac - what is the frequency at which the Dac is updated

This is a legacy Burr Brown part and anyone who has ever worked on it no longer works for TI. The only documentation we can go off of is the data sheet. I would suggest you order an EVM and test the device to see if tit meets your specifications.
