WAVEVISION5: Importing of files in Wavevision 5 from Xilinx chipscope data

Part Number: WAVEVISION5

Not able to activate the Wavevision 5 "Sampling Rate" tab. I have tried editing the .ini file present in the wavevision 5 installed directory as mentioned in the TI forum.

Kindly give some permanent solution.

  • Hi Abhijit

Please try following the procedure below. I think this should make the import file behavior return to the expected function including the ability to enter the sample rate.

    Make sure Wavevision5 is closed.

Navigate to this folder location: C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Semiconductor

This folder contains the user data for National Semiconductor Programs including Wavision5.

The WaveVision5 folder with no suffix is the one that gets used by default, and inside it is where the Import, Export etc. folders are.

If you rename the WaveVision5 folder by adding a suffix (ie. _hide) the next time WaveVision is launched it will create a new clean version of the folder.

Doing that seems to reset the behavior back to normal, eliminating the wrong bit resolution and sample rate issues that may have been happening during imports.

    I hope this is helpful.

    Best regards,

    Jim B
