DAC7571: DAC7571 output voltage is changed

Part Number: DAC7571
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1113

Hi team,

we use DAC7571 and ADS1113 at the same i2c line, DAC7571 setting voltage is 4.5v, when write ADS1113,the address is 10010000 DAC7571 broadcast address. Then the DAC7571 output become to 0.8v.

We want to check whether the phenomenon is right or not. Do you have some methods to improve it?

Thanks.

  • Hi Frank,

The DAC7571 has a broadcast address of 'b1001000, which happens to be a possible addresses of the ADS1113.  Can you verify the state of the ADS1113 ADDR pin?  If it is grounded, then the share a common address and is likely the problem.  The broadcast address of the DAC7571 cannot be changed, so I suggest the ADS1113 ADDR pin be changed so it can operate at a different address.

    Below are the possible configurations:

Please let me know if that answers your question.

    Thanks!

    Paul
