RTOS/DAC7571: DAC7571

Part Number: DAC7571

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi Sir

I have two questions about DAC7571 design as below.

1. We use CPU I2C to control DAC7571 and has stable DC output level.

Q1.  If we only disable CPU and DAC7571 still have power supply, Does output level of DAC7571 exist?

2, We use CPU I2C add level shift (+1.8V to +5V) to control DAC7571 and has stable DC output level.

Q2.  If we only disable CPU and DAC7571 still have power supply, Does output level of DAC7571 exist?

Thanks for your great support.

  • Hi Hugo,

Thank you for your query. All DAC's including DAC7571 usually have internal registers that store the code programmed into them as long as they are powered on. Removing the programming interface doesn't have any impact on the output voltage unless the removal process creates a glitch in the supply momentarily and in turn, resets the DAC. The level-shifting of the I2C also won't have any impact.

Hope I have answered your question.
