DAC8820: the question about the output of DAC8820

I would like to ask how the DAC8820 outputs. When the DAC is converting  the digital signal to an analog signal, what is the output of DAC8820EVM Evaluation Module? Is there an analog switch structure inside the chip?The DAC can output the voltage only when the the DAC has converted the digital signal to an analog signal.
