Hi,

When I open DXP software after installing it,it gives me error "VI is not executable.Full development version of LABVIEW is required".

Do I need licensed LabVIEW in order to run this software ?

Deepali,

That is an interesting error. You do not need a full version of LabVIEW to run the software and I haven't heard of anyone reporting an issue like this over the last several years. The installer is bundled with a version of the LabVIEW run-time engine which should be enough to get the application up and running.

You can check for the presence of the LV runtime in the Windows Control Panel under Programs and Features.

Duke,

I could not find "LV runtime" file under path you mentioned .What should I do ?
Also, tried reinstalling but gets same error.

Deepali,

Apologies for the slow reply. I am out of office on business travel, limited access to email / internet.

I cannot really guess why the installer would not have installed the LabVIEW run-time appropriately as it is certainly part (in fact a very large part) of the install package. My best suggestion at this stage would be to go to NI directly and download the run-time.

Otherwise you may consider running the installer as Admin if you can as perhaps something on the Windows side blocked the installation as some permissions were missing with your User Account. If we're having problems with the LabVIEW run-time I have a suspicion that the drivers will have encountered problems as well.

Duke,

Thanks for your comments. I realized I wasn't installing as admin so I ran setup with admin rights and then all necessary files(including run time LabVIEW) were installed.
