I am not sure I understand the CMTI specification. Please read the following questions from the customer:
I have a request for the typical CMTI for the AMC1305L25. In the datasheet only the minimum CMTI of the AMC1305L25 with 15kV/µs is given. In my application will be transients of about 25-30kV/µs. Do you have any further information how the device will behave under these conditions? or are you able to give a typical or maximum CMTI for the AMC1305L25?
It would seem to me that this would be specified as a maximum, but I have not been able to find a detailed application note that explains this specification. Is there a reason why we only specify a minimum? What level will this IC survive?
Please help me to understand this specification better so that I can explain this to my customer.
