ADS1675: which drive circuit for clock buffer?

Part Number: ADS1675
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AHC1G32, SN74LV1T32

Hi,

which is the recommended drive circuit from the 3.3V clock source to the 5V CMOS input of the ADS1675 while fulfilling the specs? Jitter must be low.

Thanks
Fred

  • Hi Frederik,

Please review the schematic for the ADS1675REF which you will find beginning on page 19 of the Users Guide. Page 20 shows a SN74AHC1G32 powered from 5V acting as a buffer for the clock. You could also use the SN74LV1T32 which gives better margin on Vih when powered from 5V.
