ADS1013: ADS1013 / I2C specification in Standard mode

Part Number: ADS1013
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1015

Hello,

i have one question regarding ADS1013.

Data sheet says, that rise and fall time of i2c signals must below <300ns.

In official i2c specification, there is written, that fast mode is compatible to Standard mode and rise time for Standard mode is < 1000ns.

Does that device Support Standard i2c mode and related Maximum rise time?

with Kind regards,

Martin

  • Martin,

The ADS1015 is compatible with I2C, but doesn't completely adhere to all of the specifications. There were compromises made so that it could also be compatible with the SMBus specification.

I would note that another unusual specification for the ADS1015 is that there is a minimum SCLK clock frequency of 10kHz.
