No data out of the ads1271

I am trying to figure out why there is no data coming out of this device. I though it may have been in power down mode so i tied the sync pin high.

Configuration:

1.frame sync format, pin 6 pullup to dvdd.

2. mode is high speed. pin 5 pullup to dvdd.

3. I have the sync/pdwn pull high for the debug puposes. I have included the timing.

4. dvdd = +1.8v. avdd = +5v.

  • James,

The diagram is a little hard to read, so if you can tell me what each line represents it would be helpful.  Also, what is the timing of CLK, SLCK, the reference voltage, and analog inputs?

One thing I noticed is you stated you were running in high speed mode.  If pin 5 is pulled high, you are actually running in low power mode.

    Best regards,
