TSW3070EVM: How can I change the gain of the on board amplifier - THS3095

Part Number: TSW3070EVM

According to the manual of the TSW3070EVM ( the link of the manual: ), the gain of the amplifier on the TSW3070 can be changed to 10x by provide external supplies.

However, the manual only provide the method that providing external supplies to another amplifier - OPA695. Now, I need a bigger output that can only provided by THS3095. How can I change the gain of THS3095 ?

  • Hi User,
The TSW3070EVM manual states that the THS3095 can be operated at larger gains by using a larger feedback resistor. On the TSW3070EVM, R102 is the feedback resistor for the THS3095, which you can see just above the device. I do not have a table for the correct resistor values for various gains, but R102's default value is 750 which provides 3.3x gain. Depending on your desired gain level, you should be able to estimate a value pretty accurately.
    Best Regards,
    Clay
