ADS1212: offset calibration register and full scale calibration register

Part Number:

Hi team

I have questions about the offset calibration register and the full scale calibration register of ADS1212.

1. At the default condition(I mean, when this device is shipped from TI), are any calibrations done and are any calibration data stored in those registers?

2. After device powered off, are the self-calibration data stored in those registers like non-volatile memory?

3. After writing on those registers by users and the device powered off, are the calibration data stored in those registers like non-volatile memory?

    Hi team

I have questions about the offset calibration register and the full scale calibration register of ADS1212.

    1. At the default condition(I mean, when this device is shipped from TI), are any calibrations done and are any calibration data stored in those registers? [Bob] There is no specific device calibration values stored in the calibration registers from the factory.  The calibration values are stored in the registers and the values determined by issuing of the calibration commands.

    2. After device powered off, are the self-calibration data stored in those registers like non-volatile memory? [Bob] The contents of the registers are lost if power is removed.

    3. After writing on those registers by users and the device powered off, are the calibration data stored in those registers like non-volatile memory? [Bob] The values are lost as the memory is volatile.  You would need to store the values in some other non-volatile memory and then restore back to the ADS1212 on power up from the controller.  To me it would be easier to just reissue the calibration after power up.
