WEBENCH®工具/ PGA411-Q1: PGA411-Q1 Vext question

Part Number: PGA411-Q1

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi All,

I have some questions about Vext.

1.Why is the excitation output voltage of 7Vrms mode a range, and this typical value is 14.69 to 24.27V?

2.The maximum output voltage of internal boost power supply is 17V, and the supply VExt cannot cover the entire 7Vrms mode. (17V < 24.27V),Does VExt need an outside supply?

3.The maximum output power of 145mA excitation current in the technical data, is it a valid value?

  • 1. In 7VRMS mode, EXTOUT_GL allows you to select the specific exciter amplitude. The datasheet spec V_EXCO shows how to select the voltage.
    2. The exciter output amplitude is specified as a differential peak-to-peak voltage (OE2 - OE1). This means that the single-ended peak-to-peak voltage is 12.135Vpp for the 24.27Vpp setting. So you do not need a VEXT of greater than 17V.
    3. Yes, 145mA is an accurate specification. Is there a reason you are asking?
